Microsoft has released a preview version of new Windows 8 and it is available for free!

You can use VirtualBox if you don't want to install it as "real" OS. I have also installed into Windows pad (ExoPC) from USB stick and it is working great: takes only like 10 seconds to start, uses touch screen much better than Windows 7.
