Exploding Cell Phone Batteries

15 posts in this topic

So what do you guys think of those exploding batteries for Samsung phones? :14k8gag:

Can you imagine driving down the road and having a Samsung phone in your back pocket squished between one butt cheek and the seat of your car and have your ass explode? xD :whistling:

Just that Samsung Note 7 that is now discontinued and called back. But also some iPhones can do that, though it needs some heat or be broken somehow. Or if battery is changeable, some 3rd party Chinese cheap battery.

I saw a few videos on Youtube of people heating up or stabbing iPhone batteries to make them explode. But I haven't heard anything about them exploding on their own. Hard to believe so much power is in a cell phone battery. And to think you place it to your ear to talk. :14k8gag:

Last I heard, they recalled the Samsung Note 7 but the replacements were failing too.

Actually, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been completely removed from the market by Samsung and all units that were sold recalled now for your money back or exchange.
